From an early age, Sacha Feldman has had a passion for storytelling through music. Inspired by the music he heard in the games and movies he saw, he began composing at age 11. This connection to music has persisted and grown since. In the summer of 2016, he attended the California Summer Music Festival, where his piece ‘Epique’ was performed at Scroeder Hall. He was one of the winners of the Academy of Scoring Arts competition for Live Read in March of 2017. During this time, he studied composition with Ian Krouse at UCLA, as well as Mary Ann Cummins and Warren Spaeth. Additionally, Sacha was chosen for the Sunset Chamber Festival where his string quartet ‘Nigh’ was performed at USC’s Cammilleri Hall. From 2018 to 2019, he wrote pieces for the Nancy and Barry Myers Young Composing Fellowship with the LA Philharmonic. Pieces such as ‘Awakening Light’ and ‘Theme of Spines’ were performed in Choral Hall at Disney Hall. With the mentorship of Micheal Giacchino, his rendition of music to a scene of Star Trek was performed in the Concert Hall of Disney Hall by the LA Philharmonic in 2019. He was hired to write the original score for the short film Special Dee-livery for a UCLA Thesis Film, directed and animated by Emmet Abrams. He interned at Remote Control Productions during the Summer of 2023. Over the past year, he has written scores for 15 Game Jams. He is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
